Live Oak's cast and crew have been working hard putting together this year's fall play and are ready to perform next weekend. Read below for all the information on tickets, showtimes, and more!
WHAT is the play about?
Join our 7th and 8th graders in the rockin’ 1950’s for At the Hop! Follow students through their school day as they daydream in English class, play pranks in the lunch room, practice for the talent show, and end with the big Sock Hop dance. Actors hilariously lip-sync classic songs such as Jailhouse Rock, Rockin’ Robin, Why Do Fools Fall in Love, and Great Balls of Fire. This show is jam-packed with goofy jokes, silly characters, and lots and lots of fun dancing. Roll up your jeans and pull out those poodle skirts–This show is gonna be a rockin’ good time!
WHEN are the performances?
Friday, 11/1 at 7:30 pm
Saturday, 11/2 at 4 pm & 7 pm
All performances are in the Grand Hall
HOW can I get tickets?
● Tickets are $5–Cash/Checks accepted. Checks should be made out to “Live Oak School”.
● Must buy tickets in advance, in person (no online sales)
● Tickets will be on sale near the front desk on WEDNESDAY, 10/30 from 8-8:30 am, 3-3:30 pm. FRIDAY, 11/1 from 3-3:30 pm
● Best for ages 5 and up (no infants please)
● IPerformances usually sell out, so it’s important to be in line early if you need a specific show date/time. Parents can also send students to get in line with an envelope that includes payment and 1st & 2nd show choice options or ask another parent to stand in line for them.
● If you hear we're sold out, you may want to come and get on the waitlist. At five minutes before the show starts, we'll see if we can comfortably fit more people in the Grand Hall. If there are no-shows, then we can usually squeeze more in.
