On the boys side, Tao and Ellis helped get the varsity boys off to a strong start in the early going as they led going into the half. The team made some big stops down the stretch to secure the 5-4 victory over KIPP Bayview this past Monday. In their semifinal matchup against KIPP SF on Wednesday, the Lightning rallied back after falling behind by three to tie the game at the end of regulation.
